
Cagliari, December 31st, 2024 - Christmas is behind us, but the “hag” is still on the road and the running enthusiasts have a great opportunity to slip into the stocking. In fact, registration is open for the 11th Cagliari Urban Trail, the event that runs through the city of Cagliari at night with a competitive race and a non-competitive walk, and until January 6th you can secure a race bib at a special price: 16 euros for the Race, 10 for the Walk.
Organized by GLEsport in the city of Cagliari, under the auspices of the Cagliari UISP Territorial Committee and with the patronage and contribution of the Municipality of Cagliari and the Fondazione di Sardegna, the event will in fact return on September 13th, 2025 with the classic formula: Race (10 km) and Walk (5 km) through historical, typical and most picturesque places in the city, on paved roads, pavements, gardens, stairs and off-road sections.
Until Epiphany, the registration fee for the Race is 16 euros for Fidal / Runcard members, EPS members and foreign athletes. From January 7th, the fee will be 18 euros until June 30th. It will then rise slightly for those registering from July 31st (20 euros) to September 8th (22 euros), while ‘latecomers’ will be able to win any remaining bibs for 28 euros.
Subscription fees are also reduced, until January 6th, for the Walk: in fact, 10 euros are enough to be part of the fluorescent tide that will move, as per tradition, through Villanova, Stampace, Marina and Castello. From January 7th to June 30th, the entry fee will be 12 euros, until 31 July it will rise to 14 euros, and until 8 September to 16 euros. Finally, for those who will have the certainty of being able to participate at the last moment, the cost of the Cagliari Urban Trail ‘pass’ will be 18 euros.
Those wishing to take part in the 10 km competitive race (Race) must be regularly registered in 2025 with Uisp or Fidal and present a medical certificate for endurance disciplines. The 5-km non-competitive walk (Walk) is open to everyone, including minors from 6 years of age, accompanied by parents.
